There are new (and "improved") weight loss programs hitting the market nearly every day. If you are currently overweight or you have ever struggled with a weight problem, you are probably keenly aware that fact. Today's hot new, sure-fire, can't miss, diet is tomorrow's not fastest enough or not safe enough diet fad. The reason all these diets keep being introduced is because of the incredible numbers of overweight people in the world. The sheer number of people suffering from obesity has made the weight loss industry one of the largest and most profitable industries on the planet. What other industry can "cure" your problem but know with mathematical certainty that the majority of those "cured" will be back to be cured again in the future?

It isn't that these new diet programs do not work; many of them work very well and some of them even work as well as they claim to work (LOL). It is just that most people are simply satisfied with merely losing the weight; so much so that they just won't put any effort into making the necessary life style changes required to keep the weight off permanently. Most people, it appears, are more than satisfied to merely lose the weight as quickly and effortlessly as possible and never give a thought as to whether the weight will stay off after the diet is over. Some weight loss programs may even work too well. Extremely rapid weight loss, except in times of medical emergency (and under a doctor's supervision) can be dangerous to the dieter while on the diet and can cause health problems for years to come.
So, how do you know which weight loss program fulfills its claims, is safe to follow and will work for you? To do that, you have to have enough credible information to make your own informed decision. Sure, you can take the advice of someone (or some site) at least as far as whether a diet program is effective but only you can take the information about that diet and determine if it will be a good fit for you and the life you lead.
There is no one program that is best for every dieter. Some require changes to be made that you are simply unwilling or unable to make (i.e. the diet may require you to eat foods you will not or cannot eat). In order to help you make your own decision as to what weight loss programs might work for you, we will, in the days and weeks to come, be posting on this site our assessment of some of the most popular diets on the market (and some you may never have heard of). It is our hope that our reviews of these diets will give you the necessary information to allow you to make an informed decision before you start your diet. In addition, depending on the diet, we may even be able to offer you tips to help that diet work better for you.
It is our hope that, whatever diet you chose to help you lose the weight you desire to lose, that you will go the extra mile and get off the dieting cycle by modifying you eating and/or exercise routines so that whatever program you chose might be the last diet you ever have to start. We will do all the work reviewing the weight loss programs for you so that all you have to do is pick the one that best suits you.
